Mother’s Day Match to Honour Emergency Services

The State Government, in partnership with Adelaide Crows, is proud to announce this year’s dedicated Emergency Services Match will be played on Mother’s Day, when the Crows tackle the Brisbane Lions on May 12.

For the second straight year, a Crows home game will be dedicated to thank and promote the exceptional work of Emergency Services agencies and recognise their positive impacts on our community.

The Round Nine match forms part of a three-year partnership between with the Crows and the State Government to dedicate one home game each season for our Emergency Services personnel.

As part of the deal, 12,000 tickets to Crows home games will be available to Emergency Services personnel.

This offer is available to workers and volunteers from SA Police, South Australian Ambulance Service, the Metropolitan Fire Service, the Country Fire Service, SA State Emergency Service and the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission.

To ensure fairness, staff and volunteers interested in attending the game can apply for an independent ticket ballot via their agency.

3000 Emergency Services workers who are successful in the ballot will receive 2 x reserved seat tickets for the Round 9 Crows v Brisbane match, plus 2 x General Admission tickets for another home game of their choice.

With this year’s game being played on Mother’s Day, it presents an opportunity to celebrate the significant contribution of women and mother’s to the SA Emergency Services sector and community safety.

The match will also act as a unique opportunity for emergency services agencies to market themselves for new recruits. There will be activations around Adelaide Oval that will encourage footy fans of all ages to ask any questions and sign up as a volunteer or potential full-time staff member.

Our first ever Emergency Services match in 2023 was a resounding success, and I’m excited to return this year on Mother’s Day.

Our women and men on the frontline do so much incredible work for the State’s communities, this dedicated match is a small way we can give back to them and say thanks.

Free tickets, activations and a special recognition by the Adelaide Crows make this a special day for personnel and their families.

Whether you’re a volunteer, staff member, or considering a career or volunteering in our emergency services, this special match is for you.
